  • How often should we change Filter?

We recommend replacing Filters every 3 Month.

  • What Filters do you recommend?

Filters are rated in MERV. MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. MERV ratings range from 1–20. The higher the MERV rating on a filter, the fewer dust particles and other contaminants can pass through it.

We recommend MERV 6 or MERV 8 for most Households.

  • I see water near my furnace, is that normal?

No, that’s not normal and its most commonly ignored issue.

Whenever you see water near or above or around the furnace. It’s a sign that either we have equipment drainage issue or equipment itself is leaking and both needs to be addressed on ASAP basis.

  • My Furnace turns ON, runs for 2-3 minutes and then throws cold air for few minutes and keeps on doing that. Is that normal?

No, that’s not normal. Most probably your furnace is going on High Limit. There are few reasons, most common one is dirty filter. Replacing your filter should solve that issue. Other reasons could be blocked return or supply air passage, dirty A-Coil, furnace is too old and Heat exchanger is about to give up.

  • In winter months, air feels very dry.

We recommend installing Humidifier, which adds humidity in the air.

  • What is normal lifespan of my Furnace?

Furnace normally lasts around 10+ years. Yearly or every two year maintenance increases its running efficiency and lifespan and keeps energy costs down. We recommend yearly maintenance.

  • Is yearly furnace maintenance necessary?

We recommend yearly or every two years. Maintenance keeps furnace running at optimal efficiency and also helps increase its lifespan and keeps energy costs low.

  • what are the common problems with Furnace?

Common furnace problems include issues with the thermostat, dirty filters, malfunctioning ignition or pilot light, and problems with the blower motor. The cost to fix these problems can vary widely depending on the specific issue and the extent of repairs needed.

  • What does Furnace maintenance include?

Furnace has many moving parts and lots of safety and operating sensors and switches. We go through all of them one by one to make sure they are working the way they are intended to. Condensating furnace needs drain pipe as well as drain collector box checked and cleaned. We also check Temp rise, CO reading, gas pressure and depending on those reading, we may do certain adjustments. If humidifier is installed then we check whether on heating call, humidifier is working ok and water is running. Blow up dirt and debris from burners and vacuum the equipment. Check Filters for furnace and humidifier. We also check validity of smoke detectors and CO detectors.

  • What kind of maintenance needed for water heater tanks?

The general recommendation is to flush your water heater at least once a year. This routine maintenance helps prevent sediment buildup in the tank, which can lead to reduced heating efficiency and the potential for damage over time. Flushing once a year is an excellent starting point for most households.

  • What is the most importance part of the Furnace?
  • Heat Exchanger:
It absorbs the heat, heats cold air, and then blows the heated air through ducts and vents into your home. Heat exchangers are critical components of electric, gas, and wood-burning furnaces.:
